There are a large number of highly skilled artisans in the town who have come together under the banner “Priego Artesanal” and have created the ARTISAN TRAIL, which enables visitors to discover some of the workshops where unique pieces are created. A signicant group of artisans is dedicated to carving and sculpture -particularly of religious images- and, linked to them, there are also many gilders and restorers. But the town’s craft industries encompass much more than this, and also include cabinet making and metalworking, and a number of small workshops dedicated to textiles, ceramics, stained glass, embossed leather, miniatures and parchment… in addition to cosmetics and food and drink.
