The area’s extraordinary EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL, carrying the Priego de Córdoba denomination of origin, which has won most prizes nationally and internationally, is without doubt the star product in the local cuisine. Other outstanding local dishes include PORK PRODUCTS, TRADITIONAL POTAJE stews and RELLENO DE CARNAVAL (a type of savoury bread), together with the modern cuisine currently being developed.
