Lucena also stands out for its confectionery tradition, particularly its traditional DULCES DE PESTIÑOS (HONEY FRITTERS) or SOPAIPAS (TYPE OF FRIED PASTRY) as well as the revival of SEPHARDIC CONFECTIONERY.
