Laguna Dulce is located in the south of the province of Córdoba, specifically southwest of the municipality of Lucena, about 200 meters north of Laguna Amarga. It is situated at an altitude of 380 meters.
Around the 70s it was drained and dried out for agricultural use and restored in the mid-90s.
The lagoon is fed primarily by direct rainfall, drying up during the summer months. It is by far the least mineralized lagoon in the province of Córdoba, and the only one that maintains fresh water throughout the entire period it is flooded.
Among its fauna we can find grebes, black-headed gulls, herons, egrets and black-crowned night herons, among other animals.
