This is the third year that the route has attended this event and, afterwards, the promotion of the destination continues. in other showcases such as FITUR

The Caminos de Pasión (Paths of Passion) route kicks off its 2020 promotional agenda by attending the Vakantiebeurs Fair in Utrecht, Netherlands, starting today, Wednesday, January 15. The route's participation in this event demonstrates the commitment of the ten municipalities that comprise Caminos de Pasión to maintain a presence in key mature markets in Europe. Through this initiative, the Andalusian government will be able to showcase the route and establish contacts with travel agencies and specialized press. The fair concludes on Sunday, and during this period, attendees will be presented with the cultural and natural richness of the inland Andalusian towns that make up the route: Alcalá la Real (Jaén), Baena, Cabra, Lucena, Priego de Córdoba and Puente Genil (Córdoba), and Carmona, Osuna, Écija and Utrera (Seville). Specifically, Caminos de Pasión will showcase its offerings at Turespaña's stand at the fair, specifically at the Andalusia counter, in a market that already generates significant tourist traffic in our region, drawn by the search for less explored, more authentic destinations in rural and natural settings. In this sense, the route has the opportunity to promote itself as a cultural alternative to classic Andalusian tours, differentiating itself based on the unique character of its towns and villages, whose Holy Week celebrations and religious festivals, traditions, folklore, crafts, and other attractions and services offer a compelling and comprehensive experience for European travelers.

Importance of Dutch tourism

The Vakantiebeurs Fair has established itself as one of the country's major events and a key meeting point for the tourism industry, facilitating professional networking with businesspeople primarily from Northern European countries. Last year's edition attracted 103,312 visitors and featured 1.147 exhibitors. This marks the third consecutive year that the Caminos de Pasión (Paths of Passion) route has participated in this promotional event. However, this is just the first of several events. Following this, they will attend the International Tourism Fair, Fitur, in Madrid, from January 22nd to 26th; the Salon des Vacances in Belgium, from February 6th to 9th; and ITB Berlin in Germany, from March 4th to 8th, among others.
