This cave is a prehistoric settlement of immeasurable historic and scientific value, with significant Middle Paleolithic remains.

It belongs to a chronological period of 480 000 years and 100 000 years, during which Acheulean and Mousterian eras are reflected. This is when the Neanderthal and pre-Neandertal populations inhabited this settlement.

Works have recently been carried out on the settlement, including a 80-m deep tunnel/gallery that links the outside with the middle area of the settlement. Tours of the settlement can be organised on Saturdays from 11:00 AM.

Tours include travel from the centre to the settlement.
