These 18th century ancestral houses are typical of those in the south of the province of Córdoba. They have a large, central patio, two noble floors and a third floor that acts as a store. They are mainly located in the calles Herranz Casado, Amador de los Ríos and Mesones in Baena. Half-way up calle Mesones, is a small, extremely beautiful cul-de-sac. Its balconies are superbly decorated and it leads to a small stone arch.
