THE SEVILLE COUNTRYSIDE NATURE TRAIL takes the same route as the stretch of the Marchena-Valchillón railway line that once ran through the town of Écija.

Écija is famous for its horses, and is known as “THE TOWN OF HORSES”. The exceptional conditions offered by the town’s countryside make it one of the most horse-centric places in Spain.

It is the cradle of stud farms that breed renowned pure Spanish, purebred Arabian and Anglo-Arabian horses, which have taken Écija’s name around the globe.

There are many companies that offer horse shows, trips to stud farms and horseback riding.

There are also a number of ADVENTURE TOURISM companies that offer paragliding, rafting, and canoeing along the river Genil, as well as an adventure park where visitors can have a try at archery, climbing, and zip-wire.
