The excellent quality of Baena’s EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL stands out, endorsed by the Baena Denomination of Origin, one of the oldest in Spain.

Its typical dishes are “CARNERETE”, HABAS EN CAZUELA (BEAN CASSEROLE) or “REVOLTILLO” BAENENSE, which are enriched with local WINES belonging to the Montilla-Moriles D.O and other locally produced products such as local meats or cheeses. It is also worth trying its ARTISAN CONFECTIONERY.

There are different  TOURS  to find out about the whole production process: from the cultivation area to the final product.

The BEER TASTING in June, the FERIA DE LA TAPA COFRADE Y CATA DE VINO (BROTHERHOOD TAPAS FAIR AND WINE TASTING) and the FIESTA DE LA VENDIMIA (HARVEST FESTIVAL) in September or the JORNADAS DEL OLIVAR Y EL ACEITE DE OLIVA (OLIVE GROVE AND OLIVE OIL WORKSHOPS) in November are the culinary events of the year.
